Run Launch: Corregidor International Half-Marathon

We were given the chance to experience a short cruise ride around Manila Bay, I must say, This was my first Yacht experience within the metro and It felt great knowing I was around fellow runners and the reason was because of the upcoming not-your-ordinary race called  “Corregidor International Half-Marathon” which is structured synonymous to Boston Marathon except that there’s no Qualifying time for entry;  This race is for all nationalities.

Start Training. A run organized by runners for runners!

It’s truly going to be awesome! Now, I’d have to train myself even harder in order for me to partake this race since it’s weeks after my first destination Full-Marathon on December 5, 2010, Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore.

Half-Marathon as recovery run? We’ll see if I can actually qualify to be a Marathon Maniac.

For those who are wondering if the distance is strictly just the half-marathon, get excited on this There will be no finish time cut-off for the race. This is to allow the runners to enjoy the scenic view of Corregidor. However, runners should pass the 10K mark on or before 1:45. Meaning, you can join the race for 10k and just stroll around Corregidor towards the finish. Truly supporting Tourism!

That was actually the initial reaction but come to think of it, Free Sun Cruise trip to Corregidor + High Quality Clima-cool singlet/finisher’s shirt + Medallion (its pretty huge!) + The customized bag for the race (it has tons of pockets for necessities and water bottle) + Run Corregidor = Worthy Experience

Hi Sirs, would like to confirm. Hindi po ba cla tatanggap ng first time 21K runner? i just read it from another blog na como walang time requirement to finish the race (after you passed the halfway with 1:45) kailangan naman ng proof na nakasali ka na ng 21K run/race plus medical certificate for athletic participation.

Thanks guys. Really want to join this… =(

That’s also true, Mak but you may have the chance still, Please see a Sports doctor and have a health clearance. It’ll take some test but hey, if you really want to be part of this, we’d have to be sure that you have seen a specialist that you’re in a good condition.

Also, keep on training! 🙂 don’t get discouraged.
